free copies of unsalted now available
Unsalted is a new biannual print magazine that explores the personalities, culture, natural elements and manmade relics at the head of the Great Lakes. The St. Louis County Depot is coordinating the project, partnering with the design firm Graphic Science for creative direction and the arts and culture website Perfect Duluth Day for content development.
The debut issue centers on the theme “Remnants” and includes an in-depth report on the past and uncertain future of Duluth’s oldest existing piece of architecture, the Minnesota Point Lighthouse. It also features the return of Chris Monroe’s “Violet Days” comic strip, graveyard musings from History Hailey, stories from Virginia and Chisholm, and incredible photography.
Unsalted is free for everyone! Copies will always be available for pickup at The Depot in Downtown Duluth, while various cafes and restaurants around Saint Louis County will begin distributing in early August.
